READY-TO-WEAR (RTW)

This means that our garments are made to your unique measurements and specifications, resulting in beautifully handcrafted suits, jackets, trousers, waistcoats, overcoats, and shirts, that are unrivalled in style and exclusivity.

MADE-TO-MEASURE (MTM)

Made-to-measure provides a happy medium between RTW and bespoke garments by adapting a predesigned suit with the customer's measurements. Unlike bespoke, there are limits to the possible customisations available. This process is similar to that used by a tailor altering a RTW garment, except the alterations are made before the sale of the item. In some instances, the customer can choose some of the designs aspects such as fabric and colour.

Bespoke

A bespoke suit is the Holy Grail of tailoring, as each suit is entirely exclusive to the individual wearer. Every decision involved in the design process is at the discretion of the wearer. The craftsman may guide where needed, but you will ultimately choose each fold, fabric, button, and thread used in the final garment.

Unlike RTW or MTM, the fit of a bespoke suit is flawless as it is crafted to give the body perfect symmetry, and will enhance your physique, accentuating the parts of the body you love and enhancing the parts you do not.

THE PROCESS

Consultation

The first step is to select your fabric and determine the style of the garment we are crafting for you. This is a fun but not always simple process, as we stock over 10,000 fabrics and offer virtually an infinite number of possibilities. Luckily, our team specialises in discerning your individual needs and helping you decide on the perfect combinations to suit your lifestyle and desires.

Measurement

Following your initial consultation, our master tailors will take a minimum of 20 measurements to develop a clear understanding of your posture and proportions. With these measurements, a unique blueprint will be created, which will provide the foundations for your garment.

Adjustments

Approximately 4 to 6 weeks after completing your first measurements, we will be ready for your second fitting. This is our chance to make sure the garment fits you perfectly and decide whether further adjustments will be made.

Aftercare

Once a Knightsman customer, always a Knightsman customer. Following the completion of your garment, we offer lifetime adjustments to ensure that the fit stands the test of time.
